Murfreesboro Engagement Photographer

Murfreesboro Engagement Photographer -Haley and Adam’s engagement session was at Cannonsburg Village, a Murfreesboro historic site. While I’m usually hesitant shooting at the same location as every other family and prom present that day, this couple made things fun and unique! Such a cute couple! Some tips for photographers when using an overused location:

  • Focus on your couple/client. Doing this makes sure you are there to capture THEM and THEIR personalities. You’ll be surprised how different the photos are when you’re not as distracted by the surroundings.
  • Avoid the cliche poses at that location. Cannonsburg is popular for seniors and family photography, so I stayed away from my “go to” senior poses or anything that resembled them. This forced me to get creative!
  • Avoid the crowds- there are a few places at every popular photo location that you’ll notice a line of photographers waiting to get that same shot. Is everyone waiting for that perfect creek setup? Do something different away from the crowds! You’ll see some fun examples below
